Seasonal refresh time…

The seasons change and naturally so does your wardrobe. A few times a year, I hit my closet hard. Determine which forever pieces still stay, which trendy items have some more time and what just is not suiting me anymore. This effort takes focus and time. And it got me thinking, why is it only my fashion that needs a refresh?

Shouldn’t you take stock of your professional profile from time to time? What key bullets still suit you? What no longer applies? What accomplishments align to your next steps and which ones can be moved down a bit?

Sure, annually if you participate in some form of a performance review you assess but that’s more about putting a best foot forward within the confines of the organization. So sure, I have a few little black dresses appropriate for cocktail hour, in this scenario I am just picking the best from a few.

But, if I get to just head out on a fall day, what outfit best suits my build? What is most comfortable on me? What looks the most natural? When the confines are loosened and I get to choose that the world sees, what would I pick?

It is important to take the moments to refresh. To take stock of yourself and determine all the options you have that work best for you…
