The idea.

Years ago, I dreamed of doing it all. By all, it was going to be all I wanted. I dreamed of doing it my way, on my timelines, with my voice. But then I got nervous and tucked that dream away.

Hi, I am Jaime Gabriel. I am an ex-corporate ladder fast climber who majored in Human Resources and minored in being really good at breaking apart business puzzles and gluing them back together with better process, smarter practices and the right people. Along the way, I married my college sweetheart, built a home and had 3 children and a dog (not in that order specifically but that’s our beautiful outcome).

I am a rare unicorn in the corporate world as I remained a player/coach due to my inquisitive nature to understand problems and my desire to always be scrappy, fast and impactful. I have experience as a probationer, leader and senior executive in both the HR Business Partner and Talent space (the whole talent space - acquisition, management, development, engagement, experience).

I believe that HUMAN in human resources is non-negotiable and my career thus far underpins that I seem to be pretty good at this space having grown to senior roles rapidly. The resume is choke full of impressive moments and bullet points. The titles were large. But the work, well for me, it wasn’t working. So here I am, ready to help companies who really need the help; not just say they want the help.

Some friends/colleagues (because over time they have become both) encouraged me to believe in myself and so far the journey has been more rewarding than I can imagine. So here we go, documenting my thoughts that remained for closed door, private consultation until now. I am excited for the journey and glad you want to peak in on the way too…
